Lisa Fletcher

CECAN Centre Manager (University of Surrey)

Lisa joined the University of Surrey in April 2016, working as a Project Officer for the STFC funded Nuclear Security Science Network (NuSec). She joined CECAN in Sept 2017 and job shares the CECAN centre manager role with Gail Deason working Monday and Thursday. She is also continuing with her NuSec Project Officer role and a LIPSIT project manager role on a part time basis.

She has over 20 years’ experience of successfully managing and delivering National, Regional and Local Natural Environment partnerships projects. As an Policy Adviser and Project Manager in Natural England, she delivered successful projects for Coastal Access, Open Access, Rights of Way, Nationally Protected Landscapes, Land Use Planning in partnership with Government Departments, Local Authorities and Voluntary organisations.

After Natural England she also worked as a Project officer in the MoDs Nuclear Submarine replacement Programme. Unfortunately, a family relocation and programme security constraints curtailed her work on this complex and fascinating programme.

Lisa has a degree in Geography and Geology and a MSc in Environmental Management and PRINCE Project Management Practitioners certificate. She also has skills and experience in drafting and implementing Stakeholder and Communications plans, Website Design and Content Management, Budget Management, Project Management Tools, Procurement, Organising Events, Designing and Managing Grant Schemes.
