CECAN Update (July 2023)

Jul 10, 2023 | News

The Centre for the Evaluation of Complexity Across the Nexus (CECAN) was launched in March 2016 in response to a longstanding need to develop a culture of evaluation and evidence-based decision-making across government, thereby helping civil servants to more effectively address the gaps between policy development, implementation and subsequent evaluation. Our latest progress report provides an overview of the CECAN project to date, its findings, and impacts.

We’re grateful for the continued support of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and look forward to further cementing CECAN’s impact over the next 5 years, with activities including;

  • Continuation of our popular webinar series
  • New fellowship scheme
  • Annual public forum on topics of interest to the evaluation community
  • Further additions to our Evaluation Policy and Practice Notes
  • New training bursary scheme for postgraduate researchers and early-career researchers

We’ll be sharing further details soon via our newsletter, website and social media channels (TwitterLinkedIn and Facebook).
